4 BILLION CONVERSATIONS
Over 4 billion people on the planet can’t access information or communicate digitally, because little or nothing exists in the languages they speak.
The internet has revolutionized communication.
It’s given us unbounded access to information, and allowed us to connect with each other like never before, wherever we are. Yet, vital language tools like machine translation, speech recognition, and conversational AI remain out of reach for half the world.
Four billion people are still unable to connect or access information in their own language.
CLEAR Global unites its expertise in using language AI at scale with decades of international aid experience to address the digital language divide. This is how we do it:
4 BILLION CONVERSATIONS ABOUT PUBLIC HEALTH
Disinformation and misinformation can seriously undermine public health efforts, making it harder to control disease outbreaks. During the COVID pandemic and the Ebola crises, rumors and mistrust led to vaccine hesitancy and delayed treatment. A key factor fueling this is language barriers, with health information being 78% less understood when not in someone’s native language.
To address this, we conduct research to understand communication needs and create accessible channels that empower people to access and share health information in their own language. By collaborating with trusted health responders, we ensure that vital information is delivered in multilingual formats that people can rely on.

4 BILLION CONVERSATIONS ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate disasters have surged by 83% over the last 50 years, wreaking havoc on agriculture, economies, and people’s well-being. Vulnerable communities, especially those with limited resources or poor health, are hit hardest. Food insecurity has already affected 30% of the global population, and with crop yields set to decline by up to 30% by 2050, the situation will only worsen.
CLEAR Global’s language data and communication tools are crucial in these crises, enabling better two-way communication between humanitarians and those affected. Our solutions help ensure that aid reaches the most vulnerable, particularly in linguistically diverse areas, improving crisis response and saving lives.
4 BILLION CONVERSATIONS ABOUT WOMEN'S REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS
Women around the world face stigma that keeps them from discussing and accessing vital reproductive health information. This lack of education and resources leaves women, especially young girls, vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections, which can lead to infertility, cancers, and pregnancy complications. Over 95% of maternal deaths occur in developing countries, largely due to limited access to health services and information.
CLEAR Global partners with women’s rights and health organizations to break these barriers, providing sexual and reproductive health information in the languages and formats women can understand.

4 BILLION CONVERSATIONS ABOUT FORCED DISPLACEMENT
Over 120 million people were displaced globally in 2024 due to conflict, food insecurity, climate change, and other crises. For refugees and migrants, language barriers make it harder to access vital services like work, education, healthcare, and housing. Host countries and aid organizations often lack the resources and language capacity to fully understand and support those seeking asylum.
CLEAR Global conducts research to understand the language, information needs, and preferences of displaced people. Our insights help create communication channels that are both trusted and easily understood, ensuring that vulnerable communities can access lifesaving resources tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
