Bridge gaps, save lives
Simple acts of kindness can make a world of difference.
In times of crisis, kindness is the universal language that transcends borders, cultures, and languages.
At CLEAR Global / Translators without Borders, we believe that everyone deserves access to life-saving information, no matter what language they speak. But we can’t do it alone.
The recent freeze on US foreign aid has left many vulnerable communities without the help they desperately need.
It has disproportionately affected marginalized and vulnerable populations, particularly those living in conflict zones.
At CLEAR Global / Translators without Borders, we are having to scale down our operation due to funding constraints as a consequence of the foreign aid freeze. This means leaving thousands of people without access to the vital information they need.
These events heighten the urgency of our work and we need your urgent help to continue to deliver information in the languages people understand.
Many of our current programs, like these, need your support to continue:
- Programs with displaced people in northeast Nigeria, where we facilitate access to essential information in camps.
- The development of language technology for children to receive education in the marginalized Marma language of Bangladesh.
- The first-of-its-kind Language Use Data Platform, where we provide essential information about which languages people speak, and where.
